Payment Policy:
A standard deposit of 30% is required upon booking, unless your reservation is made within 6 weeks of your arrival date, in which case full payment is required.
The full balance is due six weeks prior to the arrival date. Failure to make full payment 14 days before your booking will result in automatic cancellation.
Can I make changes to my booking?
There is a £30.00 administration fee to make a change to your booking.
Can I postpone my holiday?
You can postpone your booking, rebooking must take place within the next 6 months and a £30 rescheduling fee will be applied.
Is there a minimum stay requirement?
The minimum stay requirement is 3 nights, this can be booked on a Mon, Tues or Fri. 4 nights stay can only be booked from a Monday. 7 nights stay can be booked from any day of the week. Please check our website or contact us directly for specific information.
What amenities are included in the apartments?
In each apartment a complimentary mini essentials welcome pack of (tea, coffee, sugar, milk, soap, washing up liquid and toilet rolls) will be provided.
Each apartment is fully equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, living area, and essential amenities such as bed linens, towels, cookware, oven gloves and utensils. Guests are kindly asked to bring their own beach/pool towels.
A cot is available as an optional extra at £15 per cot.
A highchair is available on request at £15 per cot.
A Z-bed is available for an additional child upon request, with a charge of £40 per z-bed.

Do you supply an Iron and Ironing Board?
Yes, each room has an iron and ironing board.
Are there Hair Dyers in the apartments?
Yes, each apartment has a hair dryer.
Are dogs allowed in the apartments?
We welcome dogs in 6 of our apartments excluding Clock Tower and the cost per pooch is £35.00.
Up to two dogs are welcome in pet-friendly accommodation.
We don’t accept dogs listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act which are: Pit Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, Japanese Tosa and XL Bullies.
Is there parking available?
Yes, complimentary parking is available for guests staying in our apartments.
Do you offer an EV Charging Point?
We don’t currently have any electrical charging points on the grounds at the castle.

Is there a reception desk onsite?
We don’t have a dedicated Reception desk because its self-catering but there is team about on site during the opening hours of the castle who will be happy to help.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in time is from 4:00pm onwards, and check-out time is by 10:00 AM. You are more than welcome to arrive onsite earlier than 4pm and use the facilities..
Is smoking allowed in the apartments?
No, all our apartments are non-smoking or vaping. Smoking/vaping is only permitted in designated outdoor areas.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is provided for guests throughout the apartments.
Can I get my shopping delivered to Watermouth Castle?
Yes, this is no problem at all, the postcode is EX34 9SL.
Are there recreational activities available onsite?
Free entry to ‘Watermouth Family Theme Park and Castle’ during times when attraction is open to the public. Please note that Watermouth Castle is closed from 3rd November 2024 until we open again in 2025; the apartments will still be open at this time, but there will be no access to the attraction / theme park portion of the castle. NOW CLOSED FOR THE WINTER
Sun lounge and indoor heated swimming pool (10m x 4m, depth 1m to 1.5m, open 8.30am-5pm) both shared with other properties on-site. Please note the swimming pool is open from April - October and closed in the winter months. NOW CLOSED FOR THE WINTER
50-acre grounds (shared with other properties on site). No smoking.
Please note: There is a lake and pond in the grounds.
Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Watermouth Castle enjoys an incomparable setting on rising ground, commanding views over the bays and cliffs of the magnificent coastline stretching away to the east.
Take a woodland walk through the estate to the picturesque, award-winning village of Berrynarbor, or visit the coastal village of Combe Martin (less than 3 miles to the east) – famous not only for its sandy coves, inlets, and majestic headlands but also as ‘the gateway to the Exmoor National Park’. Combe Martin offers a choice of shops and cafes, and one of Devon’s oldest inns!
Ilfracombe is only a five-minute drive away to the west, with a range of seaside attractions, good shops and a golf course, and visitors can enjoy miles of golden sand at nearby Woolacombe and Croyde Bay. Superb cliff-top scenery and beautiful wooded valleys make this one of North Devon’s most scenic areas – as well as a paradise for walkers.
Are the grounds of Watermouth Castle accessible during the evening?
Unfortunately, they are not open at that time.

Yes, there are grocery stores and restaurants within close proximity to Watermouth Castle. Please see the information pack located within the apartment for more details. Our staff can provide recommendations and directions upon request.
